Trance and Dance in Bali is a short documentary film by Margaret Mead and Gregory Bateson that details their visits to Bali during the 1930’s, although the film was not released until 1951. In 1999 the film was deemed “culturally significant” by the United States Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry.
