UO Library Catalog description: | In the continuing effort to gain the Marvin fortune for himself by disposing of Pauline, Koerner arranged with a band of gypsies to trap her and Harry in an abandoned cellar by the river. The plan is to dynamite the cellar wall, allowing the river to flood in and drown the captives. But Harry and Pauline outwit death by swimming under the water and up into the chimney. Pauline and Harry attempt to escape their clutches by spanning an aerial wire across the river. Then they make their escape in Harry’s car and return to Marvin’s. |
